Our whole-home inspection is a comprehensive evaluation designed to identify mold, moisture, indoor air quality, HVAC, and building-envelope concerns throughout your home. Inspections typically take 5–8 hours, depending on the home’s size and complexity.

We begin with InstaScope, an advanced indoor air quality screening system that provides real-time readings of airborne particulates, VOCs, CO2, mold, bacteria and other indoor environmental conditions. By testing room by room, we can identify unusual elevations and source-track potential contamination from carpets, rugs, upholstered furniture, and other materials.

Next, we perform a thorough exterior inspection, evaluating windows, siding, rooflines, drainage, penetrations, and other areas where water intrusion may occur. All safely accessible attic areas are inspected for current or previous leaks, moisture concerns, ventilation issues, and visible microbial growth.

Inside, every accessible room and bathroom is carefully evaluated, with particular attention given to exterior walls, plumbing, showers, windows, and other moisture-prone areas. When necessary, we may use minimally invasive methods, including creating a small ¼-inch opening for borescope inspection behind walls or showers. These openings are backfilled when the inspection is complete.

We also inspect accessible HVAC components—including blowers, coils, plenums, registers, and ductwork—and safely accessible crawlspace areas when applicable. Surface samples may be collected for laboratory analysis when additional identification is needed.

Afterward, you’ll receive a detailed report documenting our findings, photographs, recommended next steps, and remediation plans for identified concerns. Pure Home also remains available for consultation throughout the remediation process when needed.
